  • Nau Mai,

Welcome to Kindercare Riccarton, where we wholeheartedly embrace the values of our whānau, tamariki, and Kaiako, and weave them into our care and teaching practice. Through strong partnerships, we treat each person that make up our community with kindness, respect, and aroha.

Our dedicated team of Teachers nurture and encourage tamariki, while fostering a sense of belonging, and empowering them to explore their curiosity. We celebrate the resilience and perseverance in their play, always seeking to promote independence and ensuring their voices are heard. We firmly believe that children learn best when their whakapapa is affirmed, when they are well in their being, and when they are offered ample opportunities to explore, contribute, and communicate.

At Kindercare, “providing a second-mile service” is not just a catchphrase—it’s a way of life. My team and I are committed to providing the best possible care and education for your child, and we welcome the privilege to make a difference in the life of your child, in partnership with you as their whānau. Plus, the contagious fun and laughter that fills our centre each day is something truly special. We’re a team that injects joy into serving with love, and that’s how we help your child reach their full potential. We’re like a big family ourselves, and we think you too, will feel the love, respect, and support we have for one another when you join our Kindercare family.

Come visit our childcare centre in Riccarton, take a look around, ask questions, and have a chat with our amazing Teachers. You’re even welcome to spend some time with your child in the room they may be enrolled in. I’ll make time to sit with you and discuss how we can create a “home-away-from-home” experience at Kindercare.

  • About Our Care

Since 2004, we have been a part of the community, offering a fun-filled learning program that encourages innovative thinking, discovery, and curiosity. Childcare at our centre is designed to meet whānau aspirations and the needs of each child, with age-appropriate activities for infants, toddlers and preschoolers throughout their day. Our play and learning areas, both indoors and outdoors, are carefully designed to cater to their individual needs, providing a balance of care, education, and social opportunities.

Our culturally diverse community is the heart and soul of our cosy space, providing a safe and loving environment for tamariki. We understand the importance of embracing your family heritage. That’s why we intentionally focus on building strong partnerships with parents through open communication. By working together, we can ensure that the care and education we provide align with your child’s unique needs, fostering their growth and development.

When the time comes for your child to take their next steps towards primary school, you’ll appreciate the convenience of our location. We’re situated near both St Theresa’s School and Fendalton Primary School, making the transition smooth and hassle-free.

So step inside our childcare centre, feel the warmth and charm of what was once a beautiful family home, and experience an intimate environment where your child will receive the personal attention, care, and engaging learning experiences they deserve. We understand that families have different childcare needs, and we would love to discuss them with you. This enables us to provide a tailored approach to your child’s care, learning and fees, to support their growth.

We look forward to supporting you and your child on their incredible journey with us through these early years.
